Originally constructed to be a high school, Martinsville Middle School opened in 1939. Today, Martinsville Middle is home to approximately 430 students in sixth through eighth grade. The school mascot is the bulldog, and the official school colors are red and white. The teachers and staff cultivate an atmosphere of academic excellence, are responsive to developmental challenges of young adolescents, and set high expectations of all students.
